Wølmark Finland is a clothing brand that manufactures camping clothes from alpaca wool. We are Finnish, our products are designed in Finland and most of them are also manufactured in Finland.

ALPACAS AND FINLAND'S NATURE AS INSPIRATION

In the home kingdom of alpacas, Peru in the Andes mountains, the temperature fluctuates dramatically every day. That's why alpacas have over the millennia developed the most amazing fiber for their cover. Thanks to the structure of the fiber, alpacas can live and graze freely in the Andes mountains and enjoy warm days and cold nights. Without the pain of heat or the suffering of cold.

In Finland, we are used to the fact that during the midsummer festival, during the Midsummer weekend, you can go through four seasons. We tough, but gentle Finns know what it feels like to walk in the cold in the spring in the morning and sweaty in the afternoon, because sometimes it's so damn hard to get dressed.

ALPANA WOOL FOR FOUR YEARS

The fiber structure of alpaca wool is hollow. This makes alpaca wool a superior material compared to other wools. Thanks to the fiber structure, alpaca wool actively transfers moisture to the outside, actively regulates the temperature and is light and comfortable to wear.

Alpaca wool is also an antibacterial material, so care is a bit too easy. By ventilating, you can easily eliminate odors and bacteria from the product.

The fiber surface of alpaca wool is smoother and more uniform compared to other wools. This saves the user's skin from itching and stinging. Alpaca wool can also be used by those suffering from a wool allergy, because alpaca wool does not contain lanolin.

As an animal, the alpaca uses its environment very little. The alpaca does not tear the grass from the ground by its roots, and the alpaca does not have hard hooves that would destroy the soil.

The alpaca wool we use is certified with OEKO-Tex 100, GOTS and Fair Trade certificates, which guarantee a responsible, ethical and safe material all the way from farm to customer. The other materials we use are natural materials, such as genuine leather. If we are not able to do this, we always use recycled materials, from the satin polyester of washcloths to paper towels.
